Sam Hanna I’m so sorry, I have no idea why the producers still give you these story lines that will undoubtedly turn fandom against you again while keeping everyone else on the but side of the angels.

Yes, that is exactly what it’s like. Ugh, I love him so much and I still have hopedenial but at the same time I feel so discouraged because I don’t know how they can fix this.:(

Let's Talk World: Scoop On NCIS: Los Angeles Season 4

letstalkworld:

Can you tell me anything about the next season of NCIS: Los Angeles? — Nick
ADAM:
If you’re tired of always exploring Callen’s back story, know this: Season 4 will put LL Cool J’s Sam Hanna in the spotlight. “We’ve come up with a really clever story line,” executive producerShane…

Ignoring how some fans still can’t tell the difference between a character getting decent screen time vs getting a lot of character development shane and the writers need more than ep to fix the mess that is Sam and everything. And please stop fundamentally changing the character every year, that doesn’t fix anything.

While we are at it, give Deeks a serious story line please. You guys managed to do that for everyone in season two, you can do it again.

Umm the real story here is Sam being divided between his heart being with his partner/ the team/ NCIS and his obligations to his family. I think the true moral of the story is that you can’t have both without some compromise and we will see how that unfolds. All that remains to be seen is if the writers can pull it off.
Granted to be fair to fans, the writers didn’t do a good job of setting this up or carrying through with this after Betrayal.

I disagree. Sam played his part and played it well. There is no way he actually really loves her, how can he when almost everything he told her was a lie and he wasn’t acting himself around her at all. He told her what she wanted to hear to complete the mission. He cares but Sam’s performance was too perfect, too calculated to be really about love.
I do agree that he isn’t in love with his wife anymore but until we see their side of the story we can’t judge. I kind of figured as much since he never mentions her at all…

NCIS LA Sam & some Kensi musings….

Re-watching Betrayal and Exit Strategy. With the Blye, K two parter in mind…

Uggh, when you pay attention to the story-line, what we know of Sam and what they have shown of Jada, Jada is not in love with Sam. Also, Jada in some ways is a pretty unlikeable character even though she was pretty realistic. However, I wish they had more interesting females with agency in Sam’s life outside of the team.

How did Sam ruin her life when her way of living depended on her brother getting away with killing and oppressing people? It was only a matter of time before she went down with him especially with the authorities on to him. And if it weren’t someone like Sam who was assigned to her, maybe she would have gotten the raw end of the deal and ended up being left in Sudan. I feel awful for her circumstances but on the other hand other woman given her opportunity would have come around and done the right thing and would want to move forward. It’s interesting and something more to think about why and how this will play out that Jada was never that kind of character; how she treats the team when Sam isn’t around and Callen pretty much forcing her to do the right thing in Betrayal supports all of that.

I find it all kind of sad that Sam gravitates towards people who are incapable of giving back so little to him and I think the wife he never talks about plays into that even though I honestly feel she’s a more sympathetic character in all of this mess. And quite a few people who could (i.e Dom, Mo, Saleh, his old team-member) are all dead. I hope Sam get’s some sort of positive resolution like Kensi did with her family situation, at least one where he is able to move forward.

I’m really thrilled that Kensi has been given some closure, more stability and some hope. Her story can go so many interesting places without breaking her down, I hope all the characters get that opportunity as well and I feel more optimistic about this happening than before.

ETA. For typos, computer at work is old. Arrgh…
